Overhanging Hedges – Please Be Mindful Of Your Fellow Parishioners!

The Parish Council are not responsible for such maintenance issues, but we would like to ask all residents to check their hedges and other shrubs to make sure that they are not overgrown and obstructing the footpaths and pavements. Such obstructions can be a real hazard to the partially-sighted and to users of walking aids, wheelchairs, mobility scooters, prams and pushchairs.

If your hedge is overgrown, please take the time to cut back any sections which do cause obstruction. If you know of an elderly or infirm neighbour who cannot trim their hedge, perhaps offer to do it for them?

If you know of vegetation that is obstructing a footpath or pavement that is not cut back, it can be reported to WCC for action https://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/reporthighwayproblem
